Brief introduction:
First,I'm a college teacher for more than 20 years in university since 1999. I enjoymyself in doing research and teaching in my academic life. Most of my graduatedstudents work in financial institutions, insurance companies, stock markets andfinancial department in good-qualified companies. Furthermore, I also acted asa financial/strategic consultant in some medium-sized enterprises since March,2009. I mainly focus on two research directions,'risk management' and'multinational investment and sustainability in emerging economy research theseyears. I'm also a Buddhist and was converted to Venerable Master Hsing Yun whofounded Fo Guang Shan (FGS) in 1967, Taiwan and I often joined FGS relativeactivities since 1983. Learning forty years in FGS, I always believe in onething that "Where there is Dharma, there is a way."
Second,I was proud of being a contributor in international finance/investment strategyresearch community and also provided more effective research outcomes connectedwith governmental policies and academic institutions. I always provide adviceand experiences to company leaders how to manage their businesses well andavoid management risks and assist owners, chief executive officers withprofessional knowledge in financial management and risk managements, inaddition, providing advisory and useful suggestions to the investors anddecision makers.
Third,up to now, there're totally nine textbooks published including five localtextbooks and four English textbooks published since 2004. I enjoy myself indoing research and have successfully executed more than twenty projectsfinished, in addition, submit more good-qualified papers published in SSCI/SCIhigh impact factor journals in the coming future. I still keep doing researchto move forward and contribute my research to academic community.
Fourth,my life philosophy is as Albert Einstein reportedly said, "Learn fromyesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow." Benjamin Franklin began andended each day with a question: "What good shall I do this day?" inthe morning, and "What good have I done this day?" in the evening. Infact, many great thinkers embraced the idea of constantly questioning things.The important thing is not to stop questioning and learning everyday."
Fifth,a famous philosopher and psychologist John Dewey said (1910) "How WeThink- reflective thinking involves overcoming our predisposition to acceptthings at face value and the willingness to endure mental unrest. But enduringthis discomfort is well worth the effort, as it can result in the confidenceboost necessary to perform better in our work and daily lives". I alwaysthink about the following question everyday, 'If today were the last day of mylife, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' If the answer was"No" for too many days in a row, I think that I have to changesomething to make some contribution to people.The foremost possession in lifeis gratitude. Actually, I am always optimistic and open-minded to faceeverything or challenges.
Finally,I hope that I could generate novel theoretical ideas and empirical integratedmodel that better reflect the dynamics of a post-COVID 19 world and providerelevant and timely knowledge to global managers and companies as well as topolicy makers, governments, and all other participants in the global economy.
